Characteristics

Powder Exterior Skimcoat Filler for Smoothing Damaged and Rough Masonry or Render:
Skimcoat Filler is a powder exterior filler designed for smoothing and resurfacing large areas of damaged, rough, or uneven masonry and render. Whether you're finishing a freshly repaired facade, levelling old weathered render, or bringing a mixed-material wall surface back to a consistent, smooth finish before painting, it delivers a professional result without the need to completely strip back and re-render.

Mixed on site with water, it has a generous 6-hour working time (depending on temperature and climatic conditions) - significantly longer than most powder fillers - making it practical for large surface areas where you need time to apply, spread, and finish without the product hardening on you mid-application.

Applied by blade, trowel or roller to a maximum depth of 5mm, it adheres directly to a wide range of exterior substrates without the need to seal or prime the surface beforehand. Its breathable formulation allows moisture vapour to escape through the finished surface, helping to prevent blistering and allows the substrate to breathe, making it compatible with lime render.

Once dry, it can be sanded to provide a smooth, white, paint-ready surface that can be overcoated with any water-based masonry or conventional exterior paint in 24 to 48 hours.
