We state a drying time of at least 24 hours on all our exterior products to be absolutely sure that they’re ready for the next stage of your process in unpredictable weather. This can of course be quicker in the right conditions.
Which filler should I use for levelling the surface of an exterior wall made of various materials and locally covered with paint?
First of all, make sure that the paint on the base substrate is not a plastic-based coating. This can’t be covered by any filler and needs to be stripped beforehand. Then, after scraping away non-cohesive areas and checking the moisture rate of your substrate, you can apply Rock Solid Repair Filler or Tough Multi-Filler to fill holes, cracks and various gaps. Once your localised filling is dry, you can apply our Exterior Skimcoat or Tough Mukti-Filler as a skim coat (up to 5mm) to achieve a really smooth and even wall. Then, once these filler coats are dry, you can apply your final coat.
